Felted Frog Workshop was hopping FUN!
Here are some photos of the fun little mini class I taught yesterday at the Nature Museum in Grafton, VT. Three hours and everyone went away with very cute funny froggies!! Why frogs you may ask? well, frogs are the museum's mascot and for felting, it is a small colorful project. They are a combination of wet felting and needle felting, the legs are scraps of Festive Fibers felt with little toes needled on!! Too Much Fun! While we were busy trying not to poke our fingers with the felting needles, a photographer came to the event from the Brattleboro Reformer a newspaper in Vermont. He was so excited and insisted his of our even deserved to be in color some where in the paper! Everyone was so excited there was press around, especially Betsy (long hair on the left with a purple shirt) who is the educational programs director at the museum. We all wholeheartedly agreed, now we wait to see if they make it in and if our names were all spelled correctly! (I'll let you all know)

Pressies for friends
I just finished making this treat for my dear friend Betti. To commemorate how much we love our little furry friends. Even though they are not with us any more, they are always with us in spirit. I was so happy with how it turned out that I can't wait till she receives it (hopefully it was today, and I don't want to spoil the fun of getting a surprise package in the mail for her just in case she reads this post first) The "l & b" are for her little Louie and Bijou, who have both actually attended a Festive Fibers workshop!
I love my little felt hanging collages. I have done quite a few and really plan on making a collection of them for sale, wouldn't that be different for me?

Artchix Studio Cuteness in the Studio Contest
I get some of my mixed media from ARTchix Studio. I love Helga's eye for fun design and just became a friend/fan on Facebook. Today I got a notice that she is having a contest called Cuteness in the Studio, and I need to upload my-cutest-photo-in-the-world of my little Louie (no longer with us) but his is the best picture in the world! My drying dyed roving on the floor of our first Festive Fibers studio, the basement of our garden apartment in Edison NJ!!! He thinks I can't see him! Such a silly bunny!!!

New England Felting Supply COLORS MY WORLD!
Check this out! This past Saturday I taught in Easthampton, MA at the New England Felting Supply. It was a great environment to teach my Color Theory class in. We talked about color all day, we played with color chips all day and we sat amongst colored fiber ALL DAY! This is how dedicated we all are to our passion of color and fiber...I left my house at 6AM in the snow...down 91 through Vermont in the snow...when I hit the Massachusetts border it stopped snowing...I got there in plenty of time and all 12 students also got there safely, from all points around as well! Kudos to us all!
Wow does this look messy!!! and the funny thing is no matter how may thousands of paint chips I bring (this table and another) we seem to not have "just the exact color" you are looking for!
