About

Nicole Chazaud Telaar, who trained as a textile designer, lives in South Western New Hampshire. She and her husband ran Festive Fibers, a felt making studio, where she created upholstery fabrics, rugs and wall hangings in hand made wool felt using her hand dyed fiber.

Festive Fibers was a business from 1999-2016, where Nicole’s work was juried into numerous high end craft and museum shows. She opened her home studio in NH and conducted numerous workshops on felt making, pattern design, and color theory, attracting students worldwide. As Nicole began to close production she expanded into virtual teaching - (before it was even a thing!)

As life and caregiving took precedence in Nicole’s life, she took on work in the non-profit sector, where for 16 years, she was responsible for association membership, communications, and event planning. During those years, she fit in an art practice where she could. Printmaking is what came from those years!

Retired from her job at the end of 2024 she has entered back into her studio, and has been playing with where her creative energies will go from here.
