I have been waiting excitedly for my copy of the latest anthology book on contemporary felt work, newly published by Lark Crafts (A Sterling Publication) and juried by Susan Brown. By simply, slowly, leafing through this book, it is so apparent to me, how felt work can indeed be considered art, and felt, the artist's medium for that expression.
I love it and an honored to be included in this book. My two pieces can be seen on pages 356 and 389

Hey fellow felt lover - I am in the book, too! Isn't it wonderful? :-)
ReplyDeleteWill look forward to the book's release to the general public...I preordered from Amazon, but it must just be going out to those included thus far. I'll give my mail carrier a few more days before I start pacing in front of the mailbox;-) Can't wait to see your marvelous work in print. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteDawn, and Morna, boy there are so many felters in this book, amazing work, I have never even attempted like garment felting. (Except for last year when my studio intern did a hooded cape with my guidance) I look at so many beautiful coats and think, hmmm, and like Linda from NEFS Facebook said, it is fun going through the book, saying I know her, I know her, I know that one and that one...etc! Even more exciting are the ones I didn't know about.
ReplyDeleteOne month later and I am still loving looking through this book!
ReplyDeleteMe too! It's fantastic and really inspiring.
