So here goes! I am just starting the design for a custom felt covered TOY BOX!! Too Cute! More photos to come, as I develop the design out more, and it still needs some color. The top is the piece with the 3 yellow flowers, the front and back are the long pieces, and I am probably going to do bright pink for one side panel and turquoise for the other, totally funky pattern, with a little bit of flowers.
This is what happens in my mind when I find a cheese dish at an antique store, and then a hand full a acorn caps! He is so goofy! Someone said he reminds them of Topo Gigo from the Ed Sullivan Show and someone else Ratatouille...though I will make another for her with a chef hat! Happy Fall!
The beginning of September brings a few things to mind, crunching leaves, antiquing, my tomatoes ripening on their vines in wanton abundance. The other day I went hunting in Brattleboro, Vermont. Check out my find and see how cutie the mouse on the covered cheese dish is. He was promptly packed up and brought home and sits amongst my Fiesta and Hall pieces. (above)
Today as we put my mother in law on the train to go back home, there were oak trees at the train station, and well acorns. Something about acorn caps makes me think of teeny felted mice wearing acorn berets! Stay tuned to my Etsy shop to see where my day's harvest takes me!
